Surah Ar-Room
Chapter 30 · Verse 25 · Revealed in Makkah
“And of His signs is that the heaven and earth remain by His command. Then when He calls you with a [single] call from the earth, immediately you will come forth.”

وَمِنْ ءَايَـتِهِ
(And among His signs) which speak of His greatness,
يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفاً وَطَمَعاً

Sixth sign of divine omnipotence
Existence of the sky and earth is by the command of Allah. When He will command the breakup of this system, this strong arrangement, which is working since thousands of years perfectly without a slight depreciation, will end up in no time. Then by the command of Allah all the dead will assemble in the plain for reckoning.
