The story
Musa (AS) had led the Children of Israel out of Egypt in the dead of night. But Pharaoh's army pursued them — and by morning they were trapped. The sea lay ahead. The army closed in behind.
The people panicked. 'We are surely to be overtaken,' they said. By every visible measure, they were finished.
Musa's response was not confidence in a plan — he had none. His certainty was not in the situation. It was in Who was with him.
What followed is well known — the sea parted. But the miracle is often where the story stops being told, and where the lesson is lost. The moment that mattered most was the sentence spoken while the sea was still closed.
