Returning: The Journey of Tawbah
The door is always open.
Tawbah — repentance — is not a single act. It is a return. And in Islam, the door of return is never closed.
Today’s verse
۞ قُلْ يَٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
“Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."”

Surah Az-Zumar contains one of the most expansive invitations in the Quran: Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves — do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.
The invitation to return is addressed to those who feel furthest away. It is a direct message to the person who thinks they have gone too far.
The invitation to return is not conditional on how far you have gone. It is unconditional.
Today’s practice
Make one sincere istighfar.
Say Astaghfirullah three times — not rushing, not as a habit, but as a genuine request. Then sit with it for a moment.
